I would ride bitless and with out little spurs but but my horse just doesn’t respond very well without them and may trainer has said that before I don’t use a whip bc he was a cart horse and he doesn’t like it but I don’t abuse him with them he’s just a lazy horse in general that kinda acts likes a giant baby horse who doesn’t know what to do with his feet and body lol

I always do tons of flatwork. Most of the time it's all I do. I might pop him over a small jump or two while doing it though. But I don't jump every day. My horse does live outside. I do have a 2 stall small barn he can go into if he wants to---the door is always open. Most of the time he's out grazing. I have 3 acres he can go anywhere in without restriction, except for the pool. That is fenced and locked. I fell that most horses should be kept outside as much as possible. I've ridden hunters/jumpers for years. I currently own a 19 hand warmblood, who is on vacation because it's too hot to ride. I ride with a hackamore (no bit), Nice fitting saddle with a nice gel pad, SMB boots, and no shoes for him (he wears Easyboots). I stick mainly with the hunter side of jumping, as the jumps aren't ridiculously high or broad, and I'm an older rider (I'm 67). Mostly, I just go on hacks around the countryside. I have ridden at speed against the clock when younger, and did enjoy it, but if my horse wasn't up to it, I didn't do it and had the vet out to check him. Dressage has its dark side too. I have mini horses, dogs, and cats, and all are vaccinated against rabies without fail. If a person can't vaccinate their pet against the most horrible disease ever, then they don't deserve to have the pet. And yes, I think cats as well as dogs should be licensed, and wear a tag as proof of rabies vaccination. And keep your animals on your property. (Jan Griffiths).

I just can't this is horrible, the foal has pretty much just given up. this is so sad I have know idea why these people are even using the atv the train this foal. that will not work in the slightest. I have never seen people more lazy in my life it isn't that hard to walk around with a foal in hand. And the fact that they are wiping they foal like that for there wrong doing.

Shea at Free Spirit Equestrian has a line of bitless bridles . So beautiful. She puts her horses through a bridle with a bit, bitless bridles and a new line of an adjustable ‘rope’ for neck rein. Forgot the actual name. Sorry Shea. But horses from Free Spirit Equestrian are calm, well trained and a new owner must fit the horse.

One at one of my horse show this girls horse was pinning his ears and then she would smack him and say put your ears up and I was like eww

This is so sad. He was essentially hitting the horse with the blanket that he was afraid of. Acts as an expert but doesn’t follow the many, many cues from the horse that he was done with it-it’s his fault he got attacked-and it was more so a warning because like you said, if he wanted him head he’d be dead, it was another warning that he needed to stop pushing his boundaries. Poor baby, I hope his soul rests easy.

Honestly, i am horrified. Our racing industry isnt great, but most of the shit shown in this video would have heads rolling here 😱 My ex racer was very lucky. He was retured before he failed. Hed done exceptionally well, but began to fail at around 8. I had to have references and all sorts to take him on and signed a waiver that i would never race him (not that i wanted to) and i had him for over a decade, until he had to cross the rainbow bridge. That said, i also took on a horse whonwas tuined by a completely different yard and it makes me sad how people just treat them like cars 😭

Agree the owner also holds responsibility for their horses death - only 1 1/2 hour away and no visits? personally i couldnt be away from my horse that long let alone trust someone to care for them - i am far from a horse expert and learn something new everyday about how to better care for them not just physically but their mental well being and this breaks my heart that the owner never once checked on this horse - why ? in 4 months not one visit - didnt you miss your horse ? I never go anywhere like vacation - i cant be away from my animals i miss them too much and im talking even over night - i cant wrap my head around not seeing one of my horses for 4 months - now i might be a sap but at least i am a sap that knows whats going on in my horses lives - this is sooo very sad

My bunny only screamed when she was in pain, she had an ear infection and shrieked all the way to the vets. If she was mad she would bite or stomp, or sneeze, If those babies are screaming I would bet money they are in pain.

It doesn’t matter that Harlow can’t ride cloudy she can still look after cloudy like the other horses
